The Oil Seal is a large rubber ring that is responsible for preventing both the entry of contaminants and leakage of oil from the rear axle housing. There is an oil sealon eachwheel of the vehiclethat is locatedon the immediate front of the axle bearing. This bearing can also be used on 2008-current E-Z-GO Electric RXV Vehicles for the rear axles.
