The Threaded Tie Rod is a factory replacement part used with axle-mounted steering systems on E-Z-GO 2001-current Gas & Electric Vehicles. The tie rod attaches to the rack & pinion steering gear and the spindle. Tie rods (inner/outer) enable the vehicle's Tyres to rotate left & right. Often the main reason for "loose" steering is attributed to a worn inner tie rod. This will cause the steering wheel to turn to a certain degree without coordinative movement in the wheels, therefore replacement is necessary.
